Dear Executive Committee members Operating Agents and Observers,

On behalf of SANEDI in co-operation with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), it is our pleasure to invite you to the Forty Fifth Executive Committee meeting of the IEA Demand-Side Management Programme in Cape Town, on 26 and 27 March 2015.

The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber of CPUT on their Cape Town Campus. CPUT has their main campus in Bellville near Cape Town and a bit nearer to the airport than the Cape Town Campus, so ensure you visit the correct campus. The cost for the 2 day meeting, arrangements and refreshments will be R1800 (about 140 Euros) and is payable to the university during the meeting in cash or by credit card.

Rooms have been reserved at the Best Western Cape Suites Hotel, which is in Constitution street, opposite the road from the Cape Town campus of CPUT. Please contact them well before 1 March 2015 to confirm your booking, by sending an Email to reservations@capesuites.co.za using the reference code CPUT DSM IA. Details of the hotel are attached. The cost of accommodation is 790 South African Rands (about 60 Euros). Some will stay in a suite with 4 bedrooms, and this accommodation costs a bit less.

The nearest international airport to the Cape Town campus of CPUT is the Cape Town International Airport, located about 20 minutes from the hotel by airport transfer at a cost of about 300 South African Rands (about 25 Euros). More information is attached.

Then there is the Domestic Use of Energy Conference, organised and hosted by CPUT, which will be held from 30 March to 1 April. You are encouraged to attend this conference and possibly also make a presentation at the conference. The organisers have agreed for you to attend this conference at no additional cost. Attached is a leaflet and registration form. If you want to attend this conference, then please complete the attached registration form and send it to the conference secretariat.

Enclosed please find a map of the area showing the meeting site, the hotel, and transportation connections. We also attach contact details and information about sightseeing tours which you may want to take part in during the time between the meeting and the conference. I also enclose details about visa’s for entering South Africa.

Please contact me if you have any questions. We look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town
